An Investigation into the Effect of Self-assessment on Improving EFL Learners' Motivation in EFL Grammar Achievements

In recent years, there has been an increasing focus on the role of student in learning process and boosting motivation for English as Foreign Language (EFL) learners. Motivation is widely considered to be a key aspect being successful learner. Moreover, general consensus literature that one learner characteristics. This present study aims examine impact self-assessment alternative form assessment enhancing EFL learners' grammar achievements. To this end, students experimental control groups were all exposed same content instructional method had instructor. There was only difference. The group self-assessed themselves, while assessed by their design methodology quasi-experimental design. results revealed strong promoting have provided further evidence confirming useful accounting students' performance learning. shed light how found affect achievements class. issue instruction classroom intriguing could some recommendations future research.
